Which is the method of payment?
The payment method can be by bank deposit or by a paypal account. It is requested to be punctual with the payments or the last part of the project will not be given to the client, since the first half of the project will be delivered once 50% is paid at the beginning or half of it.
How long does it take to deliver a translation job?
Should I pay an extra percentage for the document format?
If the client wants to avoid the charge for the format, the essential thing is to provide a fully editable document. If it has been modified or created in Illustrator, InDesign or some other program, the original and editable document must be sent. If a non-editable PDF document or image is received, an additional 25% to 30% will be added to the price of the translation.
Should an advance be paid?
A 50% advance is requested for greater security of the client and myself (this does not apply with agencies). You can also negotiate 2 deliveries in 2 payments with different dates.
Before that, a review of the document to be translated should be done to give an approximate estimate of the time that the translation will take. The factors to take into account will be the complexity of the text, the volume of words and whether special software must be used for localization or subtitling. If the work is urgent, an additional 25% must be paid to the total price of the translation.
